Fabricating Beautiful Dentures
with Live Patient Treatment
Presented by M. Nader Sharifi, D.D.S., M.S.

Fabricating a beautiful denture is hard enough. Learning any new techniques can be a challenge when all the learning is limited to a lecture hall. If you’ve ever wished there was a DVD of some denture technique then this is your chance. Let’s do this together. We’ll overcome the challenges of denture fabrication by actually completing the treatment on a patient. Restorative dentists have a chance to handle new materials, gain confidence with new procedures and view it all before their eyes as we complete this treatment on a patient that we provide in a small clinical setting.

Participants review state-of-the-art
procedures for the highest quality
complete dentures while we complete the clinical procedures of the three most influential steps associated with denture fabrication on a live patient. This includes initial and final impressions, the development of wax rims using esthetic and phonetic guidelines and obtaining the centric relation record as well as delivery of a denture with finalization of the occlusal scheme. We will also work with Hydrocast to show the ultimate fit and adaptation achieved with a walking functional impression.

This course is entirely based upon materials and techniques that can and should be implemented in private clinical practice. Participants leave with increased confidence and a clear understanding of clinical treatment ideals, including:

  • Patient Assessment: Identifying the Difficult Patient
  • Impression Techniques: Initial and Final Impressions
  • Record Collection: Using Esthetics and Phonetics to
    develop Wax Rims
  • Centric Relation: The Most Critical Step to Denture
    Success – Made Easier
  • Hydrocast Technique: The Walking Functional Impression
  • Prosthesis Delivery: Nothing’s More Important than Occlusion
  • Denture Teeth: Material Options and Occlusal Schemes

This two-day course is geared toward general practitioners and
prosthodontists.

The hotel that is the most convenient to the office is the Hyatt Place Airport. There are others in the area. Make sure they are the airport hotels since many of the hotel chains have multiple locations in San Antonio. Recommendations for downtown hotels include the Watermark, La Mansion, Hyatt Convention Center and Westin.
